After almost 43 years of dedicated service to the practice of law, Greg is retiring from his legal career and from BCK. This milestone has been carefully planned for several years, and Greg’s retirement is designed to ensure a smooth transition for our valued clients.
Greg and his long-term friend and confidant, Brad Braun, first met at a fateful dinner with the Central Arizona Estate Planning Council in January 1994. Their friendship eventually led to the formation of the firm in 1999. Kelley Cathie joined the practice in 2011 and became a named partner and managing partner in 2021. Will Graves has been with BCK for almost four years and Garrett Hable joined last Spring.
We have structured the firm to bring varied expertise across estate planning, business planning, succession planning, and estate/trust administration, while also fostering internal generational succession. What often happens when a colleague retires is that there is no clear succession plan. That is not the case with BCK.
When Dennis Siler retired in 2013, he was 15 years older than Greg. Now that Greg is retiring, Kelley and Will are 20 years younger than him, and Garrett is 40 years younger. That age split is not by accident—BCK wanted to make sure our clients, their children, and their grandchildren have a contemporary in the office who understands their needs.
Although an exact date has not been set, Greg’s final day should occur by the beginning of Summer. In the meantime, he has begun actively transitioning his practice. Greg would like to express his gratitude to all of you for your support over the past forty plus years. He looks forward to maintaining those friendships and relationships on the hiking trail or over a glass of wine.
Please feel free to contact Greg or any member of our team at BCK to discuss how we can best handle your needs. We are here to ensure a well-coordinated transition for you, your families, and your businesses.
Cheers to Greg.
